About
GEYC Community is a platform of sharing and communication among its members. Getting involved in our local, national, and European projects is a way to improve yourself, a way for the better! Our members can access exclusive opportunities. GEYC Community active members get involved in at least one activity every 6 months.
Members
Target groups
- 14-35 years young people (according to the National Youth Law in Romania);
- youth workers (according to GEYC definition) and the youth organisations they are involved in;
- teachers.
- get involved in at least one activity every 6 months;
- basic level of English;
- Romanian nationality or residence in Romania.
Eligibility
According to the GEYC statute, the following situations are not compatible with being a GEYC Community member. By requesting the membership you declare on your own responsibility that you are not in one of the situations below and, if proven otherwise, GEYC reserves the right to invalidate your membership.
- activities or intentions connected with political propaganda inside and/or outside the GEYC Community;
- activities or intentions connected with religious propaganda inside and/or outside the GEYC Community;
- connection with discrimination activities or hate speech inside and/or outside the GEYC Community.
Benefits

- socializing and improving your competencies (foreign languages, personal development, soft skills, teamwork, leadership);
- oppportunity to interact with the other GEYC Community members (possible cooperation and support);
After you apply, please add yourself to the Facebook group in order to be accepted automatically if your application gets approved. - possibility to get a GEYC Community membership certificate.
Register
As soon as the registrations are open, your application will be assessed within 2 weeks by our team. Keep safely the automatic e-mail that you receive with your GEYC-ID as this will entitle you to:
- update regularly your profile;
- apply for the GEYC opportunities (all activities managed by GEYC will request your GEYC-ID for identification);
- request the GEYC-ID account deletion.
OMG - Organisational Mindset for Growth
Do you want to link your organisation (youth organisation, student organisation, informal group of young people) to the GEYC Community?
Benefits:
- The Facebook page of your organisation could get direct access to the GEYC Community Facebook group, which will feed the organisation with about 1000 opportunties per year and will also enable it to promote its events and activities;
- You get priority in the calls for participants managed by GEYC for youth workers;
- You can invite GEYC to support your initiatives: with trainers, speakers, promotion, hosting your events at our office in Bucharest etc.;
- Your organisation can get invited as a partner in the initiatives led by GEYC;
How to link your organisation in 3 simple steps?:
- Update your GEYCID: make sure you are marked as "youth worker" and your organisation is listed under "Professional experience" or "Community engagement";
- Join the GEYC Community with the Facebook page of your organisation;
- Contact us to request to link your organisation to the GEYC Community (mention the full name and contact details of your organisation in the 'Comments' section):
Assistance
You can request assistance:
- if you lost your GEYC-ID credentials and you need them to be resent to your e-mail;
- to receive a GEYC Community membership certificate;
- to delete your GEYC-ID account for the GEYC Community.
