Context
New Media Ambassadors (NMA) is a complex online practical training of 8-12 weeks, based on gamification, aimed at developing participants’ digital skills, PR and social media know-how, intercultural competences, creativity and teamwork. This experience taught me to work independently online and search for new opportunities and resources. This meant prioritizing and using perseverance in achieving the set goals - Mariana, Romania, NMA1
The best thing about the practical stage was the openness delivered by the coaches. It is an exceptionally good thing when a positive reply comes after an idea, especially when you are a little bit afraid of expressing your thoughts - Vanja, Bosnia & Herzegovina, NMA1 & NMA3
I am grateful to my NMA colleagues and coaches for teaching me a lesson of positivity, solidarity, and empathy - Participant, Greece, NMA4
The NMA practical stage is amazingly multicultural. My time-management had definitely raised to a new phase: that in which my creativity developed a sense of initiative and leadership - Participant, Croatia, NMA5
NMA made me understand better my role in society, what can I do to improve my local community, and how to use the internet in a more constructive way - Ilinca, Romania, NMA 7
MMA internship with PRISMA EU Network is an excellent opportunity to hone your skills, experience new media tools, a great chance to expand your international network, and a good input for your CV - Participant, Iraq, NMA8
I am an IT student, without a background in PR&Communication, new media, and project management. With NMA, I've learned that there is so much more in technology - Genesis, Philippines, NMA8
Great project, great team. I will strongly recommend it to anyone who wants to transform a great idea into a business. The project was very well structured and it created a perfect balance between the informative part and the practical one. The constant feedback we received was also a very positive aspect since it guided us and helped improve our work. I am glad I got to know so many things about Design Thinking and Business Canvas Model (I had no idea about these tools). Last but not least, getting to know to many people and hearing so many great ideas was also very rewarding - Cristina, Romania, NMA9
Online projects are very challenging, and you've find a way to make it very efficient and particularly useful ! My project is way clearer and more define in my head, as much as the steps to go through from now on and I've been gathering all tools since week 1 to make sure to go back to it in the future ! I'm wired up to find a team during the activities I'm planning and share with them those tools and create something amazing all together - Leslie, France, NMA9
It was a great learning experience which has enriched my perspective on how NGOs work. Team cohesion is very important, as the team is only as strong as its weakest team member… that's why it is important that all team members' opinions are taken into consideration and that the team shares a common goal. I have been reminded once again that communication is key to both personal and professional life. - Daniela, Romania, NMA10
I have always struggled with time management, but I believe that this project has continuously pushed me to do my work and submit it within the given deadline. I also appreciate that we were provided with digital competence tests, because it is truly important to know what your strengths and weaknesses are and what to work on. - Cristina, Bulgaria, NMA10
I’m normally behind the camera, not in front of it. But I appreciated an opportunity to leave my comfort zone, so pitching our ideas in a short video was mostly about that for me—leaving one’s comfort zone—which otherwise could have been accomplished in writing. Watching other people’s videos was so cool! - A.M, Iceland, NMA10
